A BANNER DAY IN MEMORY OF SARAH RAMSEY
SRS 5K OCTOBER 23, 2022
Thank you to everyone who turned out on Sunday, October 23, 2022 for our annual Sarah Ramsey Strong 5K race along the Burlington Bike Path. Special shout out to Sarah Ramsey’s classmates who attended our race as part of their 10th reunion of Champlain Class of 2012 and Champlain College Family Weekend.
Thank you Alex Hernandez, Champlain College President, for joining our race this year. We greatly appreciate the Champlain College students and alumni who helped host the Innovation Fair at the Sarah Ramsey Innovation Lab on Saturday. To the Champlain College employees and Stiller Women in Business students who served as volunteers on race day, along with our faithful community volunteers — we are so grateful for your support!
With the help of Sarah’s friends, friends of the Ramsey family, and the Champlain College community, together we’ve created a lasting legacy in honor of Sarah’s memory. Our fundraising efforts continue to support the Sarah Ramsey ’12 Endowed Scholarship award, now in its ninth year. We have established the new Sarah Ramsey Innovation Fund to broaden our commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship in ways that exemplify Sarah’s passion and energy for thinking big and making an impact. If you would like to donate to The Sarah Ramsey Strong Fund, we greatly appreciate your support in memory of Sarah Ramsey!
Defy All Odds
We are a non-profit organization committed to inspiring Champlain College students to defy all odds in pursuit of their dreams.
The Sarah Ramsey Strong Fund (SRSF) was established in memory of Sarah Elizabeth Ramsey whose life was tragically cut short one year after her graduation from Champlain College, Class of ’12.
We believe in creating opportunities for young people to explore their passions, overcome challenges and follow their hearts. Our mission is to invest in programs at Champlain College that foster an environment of innovation, creativity and collaboration.
We invite you to view this short video to learn more about Sarah Ramsey, and our commitment to helping students make an impact in the world, just as Sarah did during her all too short life.
